She became this beautiful dog. The best dog ever. 
She was a Christmas pup for many of our holidays together. She loved to sit on the stairs and look out over everyone downstairs. Her fur felt like velvet.
We had to put her to sleep almost two weeks ago and I haven't been able to blog since. I feel like if I just suck it up and write about it I can move on to blog about other things.She spent 14 years with us, years I will never forget. I took this photo on our last "fun" trip in the car. She was such a sweet old lady.
My son was only 4 years old when she was born... he doesn't remember a day without her.
We have lost both of our cherished pets this year and we are having a terrible time without them. We feel like something is missing, like the house has a big hole in it. A giant empty spot where they used to lay.

Oh, Jennifer, I'm so sorry. A pet is just pure love, and it's heartbreaking to lose them.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
Maybe a new puppy will fill that hole. They can do that. :-)
