I decided this Christmas would be a warm cozy tartan Christmas and I think I pulled it off. I did pull it off.
I started with our wonky green tree and whipped up a huge plaid bow for the topper. I added a few tendrils of wide ribbon to cascade down the tree.
I made a few homemade ornaments myself such as this local pine cone with a bit of plaid ribbon and burlap ribbon.
These ornaments are oldies but goodies except the little shoe on the left just became an ornament this year. It is my son's baby shoe and it happens to have plaid trim. ;0)
These fabulous fuzzy plaid skates are new and so awesome.
The plaid quilt square ornament is new and handmade (not by me).
This sweet birdie in a wreath fits right into the natural feel of the tree.
Jessica Rabbit has been with us for eight years now but this cute little plaid tree was handmade by an ETSY artisan and is new to us. It is made with yo-yo circles. I love it.
To top off the whole Cozy plaid Christmas I bought a new slip cover for the sofa and made new pillow covers. Rugby approves of the Tartan theme and I am so pleased with the results.
Have a Happy Christmas Eve.
